Starting on Monday, June 6, 2022 we invited Pastor Samuel Ryu of the Good News Atlanta Church for a Bible Seminar. Every session, pastor preached the gospel in detail.
The seminar was split by language; a Korean seminar on June 6 and 7, an English seminar on June 8 and a Chinese seminar on June 9.
For the Korean seminar, we invited the Koreans who participated in the New York CLF and preached the gospel. After the sermon, the new Korean attendees rejoiced and said If the Word says ‘It is finished’ then the problem of sin is finished.
On the morning of June 7, we gathered together at the church with new souls who had not been to church before for the mission day trip tour.
On June 7 we went to Niagara Falls, although it rained severely, while we had morning service with Pastor Samuel Ryou at a church in Niagara, it rained but when we were finished and it was time to tour, the rain stopped.
On June 8 we have the evening seminar at Dominion Church International, the church of our good friend, Pastor Eddie Jumba.
Pastor Samuel preached that if we are going to believe Romans 3:23; that we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God, then we must also believe Romans 3:24; that we are justified freely by our Lord Jesus – that is to say we have been made righteous by grace by Jesus.
Afterward the sermon the choir of Dominion Church International sang ‘Jesus paid it All’
On the morning of the 9th, 50 people got on the church bus to go to Thousand Islands in Kingston.
For the morning service in Kingston, Pastor Samuel shared the Word about the prodigal son. Ivy and 2 others were moved by the Word about the prodigal son and how in the Father’s heart, he had already forgiven his son when his son departed from his house. They rejoiced as they said that we do not have to do something to forgive our sins but that we have already received the forgiveness of sins.
After coming back from Kingston, many of the tour participants remained for the evening seminar where Pastor Ryou preached late into the night about how Jesus, the Lamb of God, took away the sins of the World in much detail.
In the evening as well, several Chinese sisters prepared a praise and a few Korean sisters performed a traditional Korean dance.
Through this Bible Seminar, we became connected to around 70 new people and they were all able to hear the Gospel. Also many people who had come to church before but was unsure if they could go to heaven were able to gain assurance that Jesus has paid the price for all our sins, once for all and now we are able to boldly enter into heaven.
